Kaija (Reinhardt) Kokesh - Full-time Auctioneer

Kaija Kokesh attended World Wide College of Auctioneering, Mason City, IA at age 12. She worked and grew up with Reinhardt Auction Service. Graduating from Aitkin High School in 1988, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders, from St. Cloud State University in 1993, and her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from University of Redlands, in 1997. She married her high school sweetheart in 1990. Brian, a Chief Warrant Officer II, Helicopter pilot now retired from the MN National Guard, had served in the guard and full-time Army in Alabama, California, Korea, Alaska, and Iraq. He continues to fly helicopters now for North Memorial Hospital. Brian and Kaija have 4 children. Broc, Kassie, Wyatt, and Kate. Kassie attended World Wide College of Auctioneering in June of 2009, as a freshman in high school.
Kaija has served on the Minnesota State Auctioneers Association board of directors and as President of the association in 2006. She was the second woman to hold this position, second to her mother, Carol in 1988. Competing several times in the MN State Auctioneers Assoc. Auctioneer Championship, she won the title in 2005. The first woman to do so in a combined contest of men and women.
Kaija is also active in the National Auctioneer's Association. She competed in the International Bid Calling Championship in 2003, (her first time) and won the women's division.
In her free time she enjoys her children, horses, and dogs. Camping, attending horse shows and horse auctions, swimming, boating, reading, running and skiing are all hobbies of hers. She lives near her parents by Palisade, MN.
